watch Out Builders About?

Postby Hash » Tue Jan 21, 2014 8:12 pm

I am so so stressed, the scaffolding went up Friday the Builders appeared at 8am Monday morning and they are so noisy: bang bang bang drill drill drill. The dogs think their house is under attack and they bark frantically at the windows. The only thing that will pacify them is loud loud music whilst we rest on the bed upstairs in the roof room. Today I woke up at 4.13am and we had to be out the house by 6am to go to my mums for the day just to get some peace and quiet.

I feel at my limit and I can't cope with much more. Peter got angry on the weekend cos also we've had two burglaries in our street and were worried cos we've got scaffolding up they will target us next.

Gosh sounds stressful. Is it building work on your house or a neighbours? Do you know how long it will go on for? Would it be worth staying elsewhere if it is your work and you know when it is happening? May not be feasible but may be less tiring than getting up so early.

Must be scary for your dogs too. As they cannot understand. Hope it does not go on for top long. The workers seem to be starting early.

The builders have been okay, the work is on my house and its for two weeks. One of the builders has got a bad back so he has been off work a little and they have found more problems. I am having the pointing done and the gutters and the windows.

The dogs have been very unsettled, but if I sat with them they would settle.

I have been staying in bed as they have been quieter as time has gone on.

Hi Hash,

so the end is in sight! It sounds a good plan to stay in bed and keep the dogs calmer. I good way for you all to survive a stressful time! It is horrible to see a pet distressed.

I hope the builders don't find too many extras that should be done.

Praying for you,
Sally

You've done so well managing to get through that, Hash. Glad they've done a good job too!
