Hi Ruth
Sorry there is so much going on, in every area of life. You're right that physical illness makes our mood sooooo much lower, and it's good to recognise that, but I hear what you're saying about it being other things making you low too. Big decisions for the future. Is there anyone you can talk them through with - a careers person at uni? Someone at church? Could the GP refer you to someone who can listen/talk to people dealing with illness?

Have you arranged a time to meet with Mike?

If not that is something you can do.

Try phoning Mulberry House and speaking to the prayer line as I think if you have them to update and pray with it may well help. The head of the prayer line is Ruth and she is really nice.

Other than that keep hastling the secretary at the Hospital.

Hi Ruth.

Totally agree that feeling ill with colds etc makes everything worse- lots of horrible bugs around in Nov!!

Perhaps your feelings about Uni are because you have had such a big gap and are nervous? When I had a year off from work with maternity leave the feelings before return were horrible and it took a good few weeks to settle .

I like the idea of you finishing off your first year. Then even if you did no more you have University credits to use, put on your CV etc. from other people I thought the later years of nursing were more practical and less academic which may help? One friend of mine did year one of Uni and the last two years part-time due to health conditions, which worked for her. Just some ideas.

thank you Hash.

Don't hassle Ruth to update us if you are willing to give us an occassional update when you can manage that. But no pressure on you either.
Could you pass on my best wishes when you are next in touch with Ruth please.

I told her you were thinking of her and she was so encouraged to know someone was thinking of her.

Her next trip to Hospital for an inpatient treatment is in March at the moment she is just trying to survive as much as she can with all the symptoms she had before and the GP's surgery do not understand her problem at all they sent her away with a Nasal spray the other day which is completely useless as the problem is pressure on the brain not sinus troubles.

Things are coming to a head for ruthee right now she really needs your prayers. Her head and the pressure in her brain I such that her eyes started drooping and her vision is blurred. Her parents and Ruth herself are desperate for intervention and treatment but her specialist doesn't seem forthcoming with the help. They have written to the CEO of Glasgow nhs and asked for help and they need a response and some help from somewhere my worry is Ruth could loose her sight. Please pray for either supernatural or natural intervention and fast Ruth is desperate for it.

SPecifically right now you could pray that her Neurosurgeon actually gets back to her and she gets the help she needs. He said he would phone this afternoon and he never did, he said Ruth would get the next Neuro appointment and he never communicated that to his team.
