WHy do you put wet tea towels on cages? is it to cool them down.

I am glad to hear one of the blood tests may give you a simple solution through a small op.

Yes, the evaporation from the wet tea towels cools them by evaporation - even more so if we use a fan. This morning they have some soft food which I've kept in the fridge all night.

Rheumatologist at 11.15. At 5.30 I'm taking a friend's rat to the vet - but NOT paying for it! It's just that I'm more used to holding them.

Is she afraid of handling them? How did it go?

The rat's owner actually managed to hold Cameron (and the chair didn't collapse!), I was there just in case, but actually Bradley looked, said it needed an operation and did it the following day.

I still find it very hard to get motivated to do things - must do some housework tomorrow! GP in the afternoon. I think I'll be needing weekly blood tests for a while because of my new medication - most annoying!
