I have my first snow day since 1995!!! A nice day to look after myself, catch up on sleep and not have to go out! Woohooooo!!!
With Jesus I can take it,
With Him I know I can stand,
No matter what may come my way,
My life is in your hands.

Feeling much more relaxed and happy - in fact, GOOD..

Pre-op assessment went well, so I should have my operation on 17th February.

Good vet visit - he is 'honoured' that I regard him and Liz as friends. Bella has come off her antibiotics - no more struggles and she may stop associating me with pain.

Making a little progress in sorting out!

Daily Bible readings etc.

I struggle to read much - borrowing audiobooks (on CD) from the local libraries.

But I decided in my morning time with God I would read The Book of God - a little bit each day. It is the Bible as a novel, written by Walter Wangerin. It's a chunky book, 852 pages, believe me, I've looked. But just 5-10 minutes a day, it may even take me more that a year but that's ok.

Anyway I'm loving it. It's really easy to read. The Chapters focus on a charactor - Abraham, Rebekah, Jacob , Joseph, that's as far as i've to so far, and even those chapters have a lot of breaks so I can stop on almost any page. But's it's so readable - just a different style to read the bible. Maybe I'll have it finished by July if I keep enjoying so much.

Has anyone come accross it? I'm really glad i've made a start.

I'm feeling virtually depression-free!

I will be able to pick up both my new 'girls' on February 5th. My friendship with her breeder is going really well. She knows I'm a Christian and I pray that through our sharing in chronic pain etc. I can show God's love and the Holy Spirit will open her eyes.

I have some new medication to try on my long-term ill old doe.

I've done a little sorting out in the kitchen.

I thank God for Adullam Ministries.

I've sent our Divisional Commander (like a bishop) with all the things I've written about SH.

I've done more tidying in the kitchen.

Today I went swimming in a public pool. It was busy, there were men there and once I was in the water, no one could see my scars. Proud of myself. Hoping to go again maybe tomorrow if I have the energy!

Well done, Ruth!

Wingnut is using all four legs today and seems to be recovering from her operations! (Last night she wouldn't put any weight on one of her back legs.

I managed to articulate to my GP how I was feeling physically and made an appointment to see her on Monday, with the possibility of more tests.

I am home from all holidays, days away and overnights at friends, and have enjoyed a night of chilling in bed watching tv. :)

Yipee! Hope you slept well in your own bed!
How was your church this morning? Could you connect with God a bit?
Did you get a chance to talk with your minister, or can you arrange for a slot with him later this week?

Enjoy being home!
