Amazing news

Postby Keziah » Tue Mar 06, 2012 5:42 pm

Hi,

I just wanted to post the amazing news of our miracle - we had a baby boy last week. Apologies for not sharing the news of our pregnancy and impending birth but it was such a shock natural pregnancy after my stroke and with so many complications that I didnt' want to worry anybody... I was quite ill with a serious infection or two that was life threatening and was induced (with a lovely emergency c-section) early last week when we were both healthy!! We are now both at home and us and Daddy are having a lovely time.

Having had a history of mental health problems, plus various labels means there are lots of checking processes in place that is making things stressful, despite the fact I am fairly well recovered thesedays :) Just never got labels cleared!! So after 5 years of no therapy, no funding, just labels etc got 6 sessions due to baby!!!! Mmm.....

He is gorgeous, has red hair and weighs just over 7lb today!!

Hello Kezzie,

I've been thinking of you and Mr and your little baby boy lots and praying for you with all the adjustments and demands that motherhood can bring.

Is anyone getting enough sleep yet or trying to work out routine or is that all too early? How are you feeling?
You said you were being checked up on after not having hardly any input while you were unwell. I hope that is by people who are on your side and are encouraging.

I don't mean to pry at all if you'd rather keep parenthood more private. Just wanted you do know I hadn't forgotton you all,
love from sally

Hi thanks Sally. Sleep is fairly ellyusive right now, but I don't mind too much :o Otherwise all is going well, no sign of post natal depression which I was high risk for, so am most thankful.

Yes, anyone with a reasonable record of mental health is under closer scrutiny thesedays, after fairly high profile cases in the media etc. However, we are doing well here so no issues thankfully.

I had a c-section in the end so am still recovering from that. Thanks for asking x

Eppie - the little hair he has is definitely red!! Well you know his parents hair colour, so we were a little
He has huge blue eyes at present, as he has a small head. Bless him!

Eppie - we love it on him :) I had auburn hair a little as an older baby, but it didn't last so we are interested to see if it does last ... apart from hair colour he is identical to his Daddy! 3 months old this week already ...

Thank you churly - yes, such an amazing answer to prayer. He is now over 1st in weight, 4 months old and has just learnt to roll onto his tummy (proud mummy moment!) He babbles, smiles and puts things into his mouth. After 13 years of marriage we are so blessed.
